Bernice Mark -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bernice Mark of Ann Arbor, MI, died on 28 January 2012. The funeral was held at Temple Beth Emeth in Ann Arbor on
Monday, 30 January 2012 at 11:00 AM . Rabbi Robert Levy, Rabbi Lisa Delson and Cantor Annie Rose
officiated. Interment at Arborcrest Cemetery. The family of Bernice Mark will be gathering through the
evening of Wednesday, February 1 at the residence of Ira and Sarah Mark, 650
Trego Circle, Ann Arbor MI 48103 for friends to call. The phone number is
734-668-4083. Religious services will be conducted at 7:30 PM Monday,
Tuesday and Wednrsday evenings. Friends may visit starting at 7:00 PM on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Family members include: Beloved Wife of the late Harold Mark. Loving mother of
Betsy Mark (Mark Soverinsky), Ann Mark, Ira B. (Sarah V.) Mark. Cherished Grandmother of Rachel R.
Mark. Devoted Daughter of the late Ike Berton Barnett and the late Rachel
Barnett. Bernice taught Spanish and English in Ironwood and
Bessemer Michigan.She was the coordinator in Technical Services for the
Graduate Library at University of Michigan. Bernice was the caterer and kitchen
coordinator at Beth Israel Congregation in Ann Arbor for 20 years. She was a
Member of Temple Beth Emeth and Past President of the Temple's Sisterhood,
Secretary to Board of Directors, and Head of the Gift Shop. She was honored
for her service to Temple Beth Emeth; a member of the Jewish Community
Center. Bernice was an active volunteer at the University of Michigan Cancer
Center and McDonald House. She was a life member of Hadassah. It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the
